The Cleveland Indians dominated the Boston Red Sox for the first six innings of Monday nights game but the finaly three innings belonged to the Red Sox as they came from behind to beat the Indians by the score of 6-4.  The Red Sox scored five runs in the final three innings to leave the Indians thinking what the hell just happened.

Joe Borowski pitched .2 innings and allowed three earned runs to take the loss for the Indians.  Jake Westbrook had started the game and pitched 6.1 innings allowing seven hits and two runs (only one run was earned).  Westbrook did strikeout five batters but also walked three batters.

Travis Hafner had two RBI to lead the Indians at the plate.  Victor Martinez and Ryan Garko both chipped in with one RBI each.

Hopefully the Indians will learn from this, and learn how to close out some ballgames in the future.

It was a back and forth game against the Cleveland Indians and Los Angeles Angels on Monday night.  The Indians battled back in the top of the 9th inning to take a 4-2 lead before Torii Hunter hit a grandslam to give the Angels the lead.  Hunter had given the Angels the lead in the bottom of the 8th inning with a solo homerun as well.

You have to give the Indians credit for scoring three runs in the top of the 9th inning off of Angels closer Francisco Rodriguez.  Victor Martinez doubled Asdrubal Cabrera and then Jhonny Peralta doubled that scored David DellucciCasey Blake then singled and scored Ryan Garko.

Those three runs were not enough however as Hunter hit a walk off granslam off of Joe Borowski who picked up the loss.  Bad time to blow a save for Borowski…
