For the second straight night the Chicago White Sox finished the game with a walk off home run against the Cleveland Indians.  On Wednesday night, it was A.J. Pierzynski who hit a home run off Masa Kobayashi to win the game for the Sox.  It sucks that it happened that way because Grady Sizemore had just tied the game at 5-5 in the ninth inning for the Indians.

Kobayashi fell to 4-4 as he took the loss for the Indians.  C.C. Sabathia started the game for the Tribe and got a no decision after throwing eight innings and giving up seven hits and five runs.  Four of the five runs were earned.  Sabathia had some troubles in the game as Pierzynski and Jermaine Dye both hit home runs in the first inning but after that he settled down for the most part.

Sizemore and Jamey Carrol both had two rbi each for the Indians.  Jhonny Peralta was the other player to record an rbi in the game where the Indians struck out 11 times and left 18 runners on base.

The Indians are now off on Thursday and will start up a series with the Minnesota Twins on Friday.

Things looked very good for the Cleveland Indians after they scored four runs in the top of the first inning but after that everything went down hill for them as they lost to the Texas Rangers 9-4.  Pretty dissapointing game as you come out of the gates and score four quick runs, but then have trouble the next eight inning and don’t score one run.  Something is wrong there if you ask me.

C.C. Sabathia took the loss and is now 3-8 on the season.  Sabathia gave up nine hits, five runs (four earned, three walks, and struckout eight batters.  Rafael Betancourt allowed three runs while only lasting 2/3 of an inning.  Edward Mujica then came in and gave up another run in 1 1/3 innings of action.  All three pitchers had trouble as you can tell.

The first inning is really all there is to blog about for the offense.  David Dellucci had a two run double while Victor Martinez had a rbi single and Jhonny Peralta had a rbi double. I really thought the Indians would get some more runs as the game went on, but Kevin Millwood figured things out and shut them down the rest of the game.

It was a nice pitching duel heading into the game as C.C. Sabathia and Jose Contreras were facing off.  Too bad for the Indians, Contreras pitched better then Sabathia and the Chicago White Sox defeated the Indians by the score of 4-1.

Sabathia pitched seven innings and gave up seven hits and two runs to to take the loss.  C.C. gave up two solo home runs in the game to account for the two runs scored against him.  Sabathia is now a disappointing 3-6 on the season and needs to get things turned around in a hurry.

Jensen Lewis tossed the eighth inning and allowed two more runs to cross the plate for the White Sox.

Grady Sizemore had the only rbi for the Indians when he grounded out to first in the third inning.  Casey Blake scored on the play however.

Will the Indians bounce back on Wednesday when they face off with the White Sox again?  Leave us a comment and let us know!

C.C. Sabathia and Joe Blanton had a nice pitching dual going on Wedneday night and good thing for the Indians that Sabathia pitched just a little bit better and the Indians won the game 2-0.

Sabathia threw a complete game while giving up five hits and not allowing a run.  Sabathia improved to 3-5 on the season with the victory.  He just dominated the A’s all night long and it was awesome to see.

The Indians hit two solo home runs to account for both of their runs in the game.  Grady Sizemore went deep in the first inning and then Ryan Garko hit a home run in the fourth inning.  Lucky for the offense that Sabathia was on top of his game since they only put up two runs.

The Cleveland Indians scored in all innings except the first, sixth, and ninth as they went onto pound the Kansas City Royals 15-1 on Tuesday night.  The win improved the Indians record to 8-12 and will hopefully give them some momentum to get back to .500 soon.

Casey Blake led the Indians with six RBI.  Black finished the game going 4-4 including a grand slam in the fourth inning.  Franklin Gutierrez picked up three RBI with a bases clearing double in the eigth inning.  David Dellucci had two RBI and he also hit a solo home run.  Travis Hafner, Asdrubal Cabrera, and Jhonny Peralta all had one RBI each.  Peralta’s RBI came on a solo home run.

C.C. Sabathia finally picked up his first win on the season after he pitched six innings of four hit ball.  Sabathia did not allow a run and struckout 11 batters while walking two.  Great start for Sabathia!  Jorge Julio, Jensen Lewis, and Rafael Betancourt pitched the final three innings.  Lewis allowed one run to cross the plate but Julio and Betancourt did pretty good.

It ust wasn’t the Cleveland Indians night as the Detroit Tigers clobbered them 13-2.  Right from the get-go you could tell that the Indians were going to have problems with the Tigers.  The Indiand and Tigers now have identical records at 5-10 on the season.

C.C. Sabathia only lasted three inning and took the loss for the Indians as his record dropped to 0-3 on the season.  Sabathia only lasted four inning as he allowed nine earned runs and eight hits.  Tom Mastny pitched the next 1.1 innings and allowe two earned runs.   Jorge Julio and Masa Kobayashi both gave up one earned run each out of the bullpen as well.

David Dellucci did hit a homerun for the Cubs in the first inning and Ryan Garko recorded an RBI in the seventh inning for the Indians runs.  Just a bad performance for all Indians players against the Tigers.

Starting pitcher C.C. Sabathia has released a statement on his website CCSabathia52.com saying that he will not discuss a long-term contract during the season.  He does not want any contract talk to happen during the season as it could be a distraction for himself and the team.

That is a great move by C.C. in my opinion.  The money is going to be there for him, and he doesn’t want to jeopardize the contract talk to hurt the team as they make another push for a playoff run.
