It appears as if realistic free agent options for the Cleveland Indians are starting to disappear. Both Josh Willingham and Michael Cuddyer, names that have been thrown around as potential right handed bats for the Tribe, signed with different teams just a day apart.

The Indians have signed free agent infielder Jose Lopez and outfielder Felix Pie to minor league contracts for next season. Both deals include non-roster invitations to spring training. Lopez, a versatile former All-Star for Seattle, split last season with Colorado and Florida. The 28-year-old has a career .263 average in 955 games with the Mariners, Rockies and Marlins, who signed him last June.

Needing to add depth to an outfield ravaged by injuries in 2011, the club acquired Aaron Cunningham from San Diego in a trade and signed free agent Felix Pie . The Indians have offered contracts to all the unsigned players on their roster, including seven who are eligible for arbitration this winter. The club had until midnight Monday to tender contracts for the 2012 season to any unsigned players listed on the 40-man roster. Any players who are non-tendered become free agents.
